Item Formulation and evaluation of bar soap from Banana (Mus paradisiaca) peel vinegar and Pineapple (Ananas comosus) peel extract as stain remover(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Mid La Union Campus, 2024-06) Lagleva, John Angelo C.; Campos, Alyssa G.; Carulla, Dinarose Marie S.; Evangelio, Nicole R.; Guerrero, Beverlyn P.; Jacalan, Nicole Anne F.; Alvarez, Sheila B.; Palabay, Victorio C.; Corpuz, Florentina A.; Olpindo, Nellie M.; Nillosguin, Joyce N.A stain remover is used to remove or conceal stains on fabrics. The primary goal of this research was to create and test a stain remover made from banana peel vinegar and pineapple peel bar soap applied to textile materials. Specifically, this study sought to determine the amount of extract made from banana peel vinegar and pineapple peel extract, determine the pH level of the peel extract, and determine the efficacy of the bar soap in terms of fabric use (linen and poplin) and stain removal (chocolate, blood, grease). The study used a developmental descriptive-evaluative research design. The amount of extract from banana peel vinegar and pineapple peel extract wasfound to be 2000mL. The source contained an acidic content—highly effective chocolate and grease removal for linen and poplin. There is no difference between the fabric used and the stain remover. Tensile strength increasesin length while decreasing in width. The barsoap produced from banana peel vinegar and pineapple peel extract successfully removed stains.
