    April Joy home decors and furniture

    The Furniture Industry which provides the interior of an infrastructure or building as well as decorations, equipment and tools for the household is an important constituent in attaining economic growth and sustainable development. This case study aims at designing an action plan for April Joy Home Decors and Furniture, Biday City of San Fernando, La Union based on the identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The SWOT Analysis is based on the information from primary, secondary, tertiary sources through interview, observation and document review. Findings revealed that April Joy has high quality products through quality inspection, reliable distribution to end user and delivery system. However, several challenges include low security of company’s patent, time consuming recording of financial transaction, lacking human resource officer in the company and lack of equipment. Thus, the researchers are proposing the purchase of conveyors, hiring of an HR, provision for accounting software and security software.
