Publication Color value and colorfatness of the dyed silkfabric using (prunus cerasus) Sour plum fruits dye power(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Mid La Union Campus, 2018-12) Cañazo, Lalyn M.; Delos Trinos, Shiela Mae B.; Gallardo, Edralyn A.; Redublado, Cathy E.; Soriano, April Joy S.The main concern of the study was to determine the color value and the colorfastness of the dyed Silk fabric using Sour Plum fruits. Specifically, it aimed dehydrate and converted into powder form the Sour Plum fruits; to determine the color value and solubility of dye powder; to evaluate the coloifastness in terms of laundering, light and perspiration and the significance differences in terms of mordant and dyeing time used. The study used the descriptive and evaluative research design. The statistical tools used were weightedmean and t-test forthe colorfastnessto laundering, light and perspiration using the AATCC for the colorfastness. The study found that the sour plum fruits weighed 500 grams after dehydration and the color became dark purple; the converted dye powder weighed 350 grams; the color value is 510 nm within the range of 500-520 wave length nanometer produced cyan color and very highly soluble in pH 9. Further, the coloifastness of Sour plum fruits dye powder was acceptable to light, very highly acceptable to laundering and perspiration and there were no significant differences existed in laundering and light in terms of mordant and dyeing time used
