    Online booking system of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant

    This study focused on the development of an Online Booking System of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant. Specifically, it determined the ICT Profile of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant in terms of hardware, software, peopleware, and network; determined the capabilities and constraints of the existing reservation system of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant in terms of its performance, information, economics, control, efficiency, and service; developed the Online Booking System of Pebble Beach Resort; and determined the level of usability of the developed system in terms of attractiveness, efficiency, control, learnability, and helpfulness. This study used the descriptive and developmental method of research and the Waterfall life cycle model in developing the system. Survey checklist was used to determine the ICT profile of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant and survey questionnaire which is the WAMMI questionnaire was used to determine the level of usability of the developed system. The status of the existing operation of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant as determined through PIECES framework was perceived as constraint of the organization. A total of 30 respondents were involved in the study coming from Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant Staff and customers. All gathered data were analyzed and interpreted with the use of the frequency count and mean. The findings of the study showed that the ICT profile of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant was sufficient in terms of hardware, software, peopleware, and network; the reservation system runs in a Windows platform and was developed with HTML, CSS, JQuery, and MySQL as its database; and the level of usability of the developed system was rated by the respondents with an overall rating of 3.69 which was described as Usable. The conclusions were: the ICT Profile needed are all present; Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant needs a computerized system to improve its information dissemination; Waterfall life cycle model along with basic HTML, CSS, JQuery, and MySQL as the database platform is an effective way to run and manage the system; and the Online Booking System of Pebble Beach Resort is usable. Therefore, the developed system can help improve the processes and services of Pebble Beach Resort and Restaurant.
