    Awareness of DMMMSU students on gender-based sexual harassment

    Sexual harassment is a worldwide problem with far-reaching implications for people, groups, and entire organizations. This study looked at the respondents' profile, their status of awareness of Gender-Based Sexual Harassment, and significant difference in their awareness when grouped according to profile. The study was conducted on three of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University's campuses through a researcher-made test questionnaire administered to 583 undergraduate students Academic Year 2023-2024. The data were analyzed using frequency and percentage and chi-square. The findings show that almost all of the respondents are young adults, a great majority of whom are females who are mostly heterosexual and cisgender, and a great majority express themselves as feminine. Most DMMMSU students are aware on Gender Based Sexual Harassment Concepts and Terms, Gender-Based Streets and Public Spaces Sexual Harassment and Gender-Based Online Sexual Harassment. There is a significant difference in the awareness of DMMMSU Students when they are grouped according to their age, sex at birth, gender identity, and gender expression. On the other hand, there is no significant difference in their awareness when grouped according to sexual orientation. Based on the findings, an IEC Material was formulated to strengthen the awareness of students on Gender-Based Sexual Harassment.
