    Development of a computer – aided instructional material on solutions of triangles

    This study developed and validated a Computer - Aided Instructional Material on Solutions of Triangles. The study employed a descriptive - developmental research design. The syllabus on Trigonometry was reviewed particularly those concerned in prelim and midterm and an analysis of least mastered topics based on the results of the administered achievement test was done to determine the level of difficulty experienced by the respondents. All of these were inputted in the programmed material developed. The said material was subjected to face and content validity evaluation. The findings were as follows: (1) The Developed Computer -Aided Instructional Material on Solutions of Triangles which made use of a visual basic programming language makes it a user - friendly material, (2) The Developed Computer Aided Instructional Material on Solutions of Triangles indexed a very high validity as rated by the experts and the students. This means that the material can be adopted by the instructors/professors as an additional material to provide individualized instruction, remedial teaching, and to facilitate teaching-learning process. However, the study covers only on solutions on triangles, a similar study should be undertaken to include all the topics in Plane and Spherical Trigonometry to be utilized for the whole semester. Likewise, pilot test be conducted to etermine effectiveness of the developed Computer Aided Instructional Material in Plane and Spherical Trigonometry and strengthen its validity.
