    Formulated feeds for broilers using locally available feedstuff
    (Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2014-03) Daytaca, Darwin A.
    This study was conducted to determine the effect of the formulated feeds for broilers using locally available feedstuff . It was conducted at DEMO FARM Poblacion, Bacnotan, La Union from December 21, 2013 to January 25, 2014 Sixty day-old chick were used in the study employing the RCBD in three blocks. The birds were distributed in four treatments. The result of the study revealed that the final weight, gain in weight of birds and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost of birds fed with different leaf meals in formulated ration were comparable with each other however, significantly lower than those birds fed with pure broiler starter crumble. In terms of the feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and cost of feed to produce a gain in weight of the birds showed insignificant result.
