    Profitability of Pechay (Brassica rapa l.) varieties as intercrop with Rambutan
    (Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2016-03) Dagusen, Venus B.
    Integration of cash crop like pechay in between rambutan tree is one example of an intercropping system to address food sufficiency and poverty. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the profitability of pechay varieties as an intercrop with rambutan at the Agroforestry Research and Demonstration Farm (ARDF) DMMMSU NLUC, Bacnotan, La Union from November 14, 2015 to December 19, 2015. The study was laid out following the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three blocks and three varieties with a total of nine experimental plots. The varieties used were V1-Chaisim, V2-Green Shinkang, and V3- Pavo. Findings of the study revealed that Pavo variety produced the heaviest yield per hill, per plot, computed yield per ha, highest net income and Benefit Cost Ratio while the Green Shinkang variety produced the lightest yield per hill, per plot, computed yield per ha, lowest Benefit Cost Ratio, and the shortest. However the Chaisim variety produced the tallest.
