Publication Women local chief executive in leadership:(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2021-12) Vallejo, John Khen C.; Borquillo, Sheila Mae E.; Dacanay, Blear Ann M.; Dy, Precious Joy G.; Sebulino, Katrina Paula M.Women’s presence in many aspects of public life has grown significantly in the last quarter-century, their influence in the decision-making has shown significant impact in leading the fight against COVID-19. This study determined the woman local chief executive’s leadership in COVID-19 response management in the Municipality of Agoo, La Union. Specifically, the profile of the woman local chief executive, extent of the LGU’s compliance with the NAP-COVID19 PDITR Strategy, COVID-19 impact mitigation measures initiated, level of satisfaction of the Punong Barangays on the LGU’s compliance with the NAP-COVID19 PDITR Strategy. This study utilized a survey questionnaire, document review, informal interview and written interview in gathering data from 112 Agoo Municipal Task Force, 10 Department Units Heads and 49 Punong Barangays respondents. Median were used as the statistical tool to analyze the data on the extent of the LGU’s compliance with the NAP-COV1D19 PDITR Strategy and to analyze the level of satisfaction of the punong barangays with the LGU’s compliance. Findings reveal that the compliance of Municipality of Agoo under PDITR Strategy is found to be fully compliant and results also shows that level of satisfaction of Punong Barangays’ on the LGU’s Compliance to the PDITR Strategy reflects the excellent performance of the Municipal Task Force headed by the Local Chief Executive.
