Publication The lived experiencse of teenage mothers living with solo parents along the coastlines of Agoo, La Union(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - South La Union Campus, 2024-05) Basallo, Kimje Ann A.; Coztez, Rochelle Mae Z.; Supnad, Rizza Mikaela D.The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study is to explore the lived experiences of teenage mothers living with solo parents along coastlines of Agoo, La Union. Using snowball sampling, a one-on-one in-depth, semi-structured interview was used in collecting data from eight (8) teenage mothers, currently residing in barangay Balawarte, San Isidro, San Manuel, and San Nicolas. By means of thematic analysis, the findings suggests that the lived experience of teenage mothers living with solo parents in the coastlines were influenced by a complex interplay of parental responsibilities, financially unsecured, pregnancy turmoil, social bounded, fractured family dynamics, support networks, and balancing independence and priorities. This study found that teenage mothers living with solo parent in coastlines face various challenges, yet they developed coping strategies and social networks that would support them while exhibiting the demanding responsibilities of early motherhood.
