    Flood management practices of the City of San Fernando, La Union

    The study aimed to determine the level of awareness and extent of practice of the Flood Management Practices of the City of San Fernando, La Union. As well as to comprehend the current situation of the city regarding flood management practices. The study used the descriptive method of research. Its common means of gathering information includes the use of questionnaires. The questionnaires used were validated by five (5) experts to ensure their reliability. The study was conducted in the ten (10) barangays of City of San Fernando, La Union during the 1st Semester of School Year 2018- 2019. There were exactly 459 respondents of the study. Results indicated that the respondents have high awareness on the flood management practices of the city. Also, it is perceived the flood management practices are highly practiced in their barangays. Nonetheless, there is a significant difference between the respondents along level of awareness and the extent of practice of flood management practices.
