Employing fresh graduates:

This study identified the challenges faced by banking industry in employing fresh graduates in terms of personal, professional, and technical skills in City of San Fernando, La Union. Survey questionnaire was used to collect data which were analysed using frequency counts and percentage, and chi-square. Findings show that most of the banks in the City of San Fernando La Union are large Universal banks and have been operating for more than 21 years; the skills acquired by the fresh graduates are not enough to meet the expectations and demand of the banking industry, and there is no significant relationship on the challenges faced by the respondent banks in employing fresh graduates as well as their profile in the City of San Fernando La Union was found in this study.
