Adviser: Libong, Chester S., DVM, Ph.D. In the Philippine dairy industry, subclinical mastitis is crucial in the fight against milk shortage. Subclinical mastitis is a major source of animal suffering resulting in decreased milk output, undesired milk composition and quality, and developmental delays in young animals. The current study was conducted to determine the prevalence of subclinical mastitis (SCM) in sheep, describe and identify the risk factors that influence the occurrence of subclinical mastitis of Sheep in La Union using California Mastitis Test (CMT) kit. Overall, the prevalence of subclinical mastitis was 6.66%. The Area of Collection, Age, Parity, Lamb Gender, and body conformation is not associated with the occurrence of subclinical mastitis. But as a control measure California Mastitis Test (CMT) can be performed regularly on the early diagnosis of subclinical mastitis.
