    Online selling and trading of pre-loved books

    The study aimed to develop a system entitled Online Selling and Trading of Pre- loved Books for the people who enjoy reading books. Specifically, this study sought to: 1) determine the socio-economic profile of the respondents; 2) determine the vulnerability of the developed website; 3) assess the acceptability of the developed system as to functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, security, and portability; and, 4) determine the significant difference of the respondents according to a) sex; and b) type of respondents. This study made use of the descriptive and development types of research. The data was gathered online with the use of a survey questionnaire. The respondents of this study include the IT Experts and Clients. Software’s such as Sublime text editor, Google Chrome, XAMMP, MySQL, PHP Programming Language, HTML were used in the development and simulation of the system. The following are the results of the study: (a) the socio-economic profile of the respondents showed that most of the respondents were male and more than half of the respondents were aged 25 & below; as to salary, more than half of the respondents have a salary of Php 10.000 and below. (b) the developed system was able to withstand security attacks; c) the system was acceptable; and d) there was difference on the perception of the developed systems according to no significant sex and types of respondents.
