Detection of African Swine Fever from feed samples collected from agricultural stores in the First District of La Union
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University North La Union Campus, 2025-05) Carpio, Rhoda Jane N.
African Swine Fever (ASF) is a highly lethal disease that severely impacts pig farming and the economy. With no effective vaccine, control relies on strict biosecurity and culling, making outbreaks financially and agriculturally devastating. This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of African Swine Fever from feed samples collected from the agricultural stores in the First District of La Union using RT-PCR and to develop an epidemiological map of ASF in the First District of La Union. Results revealed a prevalence rate of 0% of ASF from the feed samples collected in the First District of La Union.
