Publication Management practices of cattle/carabao raising by the different ethnic tribes in Abra(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2017-06) Brillantes, Darrin P.The study determined the socio demographic and management practices of cattle/carabao raisers practiced by ethnic tribes. Specifically in socio demographic profile, management practices, health management, marketing practices or strategies. This will serve as information bank regarding ethnic practices of cattle/carabao raising. The study used the purposive descriptive research method using questionnaires. Fifteen municipalities with 15 respondents each answered the questionnaire with simultaneous interview. The data were arranged and analyzed according to frequency counts, and percentages. Most of the respondents are male, 51 60 years old, farmers, with 1,000 peso monthly income, high school graduates, from Masadiit tribe, slaughters animals and offers prior to construction of housing, selects and acquire animals during full moon and new moon, grasses as the main feed ration, raised cattle/carabao for over seven years, used natural breeding system, encountered diseases were both treated with commercial and herbal/traditional medicines. Majority sell 1 5 heads through contract buying with no preferred time and date of marketing animals.
