Publication Online career guidance for Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Mid La Union Campus Laboratory High School(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Mid La Union Campus, 2010-10) Bautista, Jadz Marrion Noveloso; Dacanay, Ruby Rose Arellano; Javier, Rechelle Anne Corpuz; Padua, Christopher Malabanan; Nisperos, Zhella Anne V.; Corpuz, Eduardo C.; Rodriguez, Marylen D.; Hufana, Gilbert R.; Palacpac, Therese L.P.This study entitled Online Career Guidance for Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid La Union Campus Laboratory High School. Specifically it answered the questions What is the status of the career guidance service of DMMMSUMLUC in terms of performance, information, economics, control and security, efficiency, and service; What Career Guidance System could be developed for the DMMMSU-MLUC Laboratory High School; and lastly What is the level of acceptability of the proposed system in terms of attractiveness, control, efficiency, helpfulness, and learnability. This study used descriptive and developmental type of research and in developing the system the Waterfall model was utilized. The researchers made use of a Whetherbe’s PIECES framework survey questionnaire to get the status of the existing career guidance system and another survey questionnaire by Claridge and Kirakowsla’s WAMMI was adapted and some changes were made to measure the level of acceptability of the system was administered to 41 respondents and distributed as follows: one guidance counselor and 40 4th year high school students of Laboratory High School. To summarize the results of the questionnaire the researchers made use of mean and grand mean. Findings of the study revealed that in terms the status existing of Career Guidance of the guidance unit for DMMMSU-MLUC Laboratory High School is Constraint. An Online Career Guidance System for Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid La Union Campus Laboratory High School is developed. The system is acceptable as to the level of acceptability in terms of attractiveness, controllability, efficiency, helpfulness and learnability as rated by respondents. Conclusions were the Career Guidance System of the Guidance Unit needs to be improved for the enhance of the services provided by the Guidance Unit. An Online Career Guidance System for Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid La Union Campus Laboratory High School is developed. As a result, these implementation tools were effective in developing the system. OCGS for DMMMSU-MLUC LHS is acceptable as rated by the guidance counselor and 4th year high school students as respondents.
