    Perception of Teachers in the implementation of MTB-MLE in the Elementary laboratory school of DMMMSU-NLUC

    There were three female respondents in the study. The perceptions of teachers in the implementation of MTB-MLE were gathered and interpreted. This study was conducted at DMMMSU-NLUC, College of Education at the Elementary Laboratory School, Bacnotan, La Union from July 2015 to October 2015. It was undertaken to find out the perception of teachers regarding in the implementation of the MTB-MLE. Based on the results of the study, the perception of teachers in the implementation of MTB-MLE was very highly perceived which means that they are aware of the implementation of MTB-MLE in the Elementary Laboratory School. The researchers recommend that the school administrators should conduct seminars or send teachers to seminars related to MTB-MLE like language proficiency, lesson planning and development of instructional materials;and should supervise and monitor the implementation of the program MTB-MLE; learning resources should be provided by the school for effective and meaningful instruction, teachers should go for professional development in Mother Tongue, teachers should be responsible in any changes in the curriculum that will be implemented by the Department of Education; parents should support and cooperate with the school administrators and teachers to ensure effective and successful implementation of the MTB-MLE program; and pupils are encouraged to use their mother tongue more frequently inside and outside the school premises to ensure proficiency and preservation of the Iloko culture.
