Farmers profiling System for the municipal agriculturist office of Balaoan, La Union
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University- North La Union Campus, 2024-01) Sacquiaten, Joshua B.; Ballesteros, Andrei Eleazar B.
This study aimed to develop a Farmers' Profiling System for the Municipal Agriculturist Office (MAO) of Balaoan, La Union, to efficiently store and secure large amounts of farmers' data. The objectives included identifying current profiling problems, assessing the ICT resources profile, evaluating the readiness for implementation, determining the socio-demographic profile of respondents, evaluating system vulnerability, and gauging system acceptability and perception differences. The results revealed that the system effectively manages and monitors farmers' data. The municipality is well-equipped with the necessary hardware, software, network infrastructure, and security measures for implementation. Both MAO staff and Barangay Secretaries have a positive outlook on the system. Most respondents are females aged 2630, earning Php 10,000 or less. The system is robust against vulnerability attacks and meets functionality, efficiency, usability, reliability, security, and portability standards. Additionally, there is no significant difference in perception based on sex or respondent type.
