The vision and goals of Philippine education is aligned with the four pillars: it is for students to learn science, learn to do science, and learn through science (Interaction Journal, 2001). Thus, the study focused on the use of Web-Enhanced Learning Activities to improve the academic performance and achievement of students. Specifically, it tested for the significant differences in the academic performance and achievement of the four groups. The respondents were the first year high school students of SLU-LHS, Baguio City who randomly selected, grouped following the Solomon Four Group format and matched according to the result of their Science Achievement Test. Frequency count, percentage, means, one-way ANOVA, Tukey’s test, and Correlation of Determination were employed to treat the data. The results showed that the two experimental groups performed better than their control group counterpart in terms of their academic performance and achievement. Therefore, using Web-Enhanced Learning Activities are effective strategies in the teaching and learning of topics in Science 1.
