    Satisfaction and experiences on Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000 (RA 8972) in the Province of La Union

    Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000 is a law providing for the development & implementation of comprehensive programs and services for solo parents to address their needs. This study determined the level of satisfaction and experiences of the registered solo parents in the Province of La Union with the procedures and benefits under the Act. This is a descriptive research which utilized survey and interview to gather data from registered solo parents. Findings show that majority of the registered solo parents are female aging 36 to 47 years old; the registered solo parents are satisfied with the procedures and benefits and they experienced excellent and efficient services from their C/MSWDO. Thus, this research offers case study brief which will serve as the basis of the C/MSWDO and LGU to improve the services in providing the procedures and benefits of the RA 8972.
