    Farmers product mechanical sieving machine
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2025-05) Gabaldon, Darwin M.; Andaya, John Mar P.; Arebuabo, Jayson Vince S.; Estacio, Franklin; Frigillana, Rodel L.
This study aimed to develop the Farmers Product Mechanical Sieving Machine (FPMSM) through a Developmental Research Design. The objectives included designing, constructing, and evaluating the machine’s technical performance. The researchers conceptualized the FPMSM's specifications, fabricated it using standard materials, and conducted iterative testing and modifications to ensure functionality. The machine consists of key components such as a frame, filter system, hopper, discharge box, and motor. Performance evaluation showed that the FPMSM achieved sieving efficiency rates of 82.3% for maize, 98.8% for black turtle beans, and 99.35% for white kidney beans. Its throughput capacity was 100 kg/hr for maize, 285.94 kg/hr for black turtle beans, and 286.27 kg/hr for white kidney beans. The machine also proved to be low maintenance and environmentally friendly due to its simple mechanism, energy-efficient motor, and waste management system. Overall, the FPMSM is a functional, sustainable, and cost-effective solution for grain processing.
