    Effects of social media used in online recruitment among medium enterprises in Bauang, La Union

    Social Media usage has made an impact for online recruitment which contributed to the increase in the emergence of recruiting candidates in a variety of platforms. This study focuses on the effects of social media used in online recruitment among medium enterprises in Bauang, La Union. It also aimed to identify how the extent of usage of social media platforms affects the level of perceived effects and if there is a significant relationship between social media platforms and perceived effects. The gathered data from 17 HR managers and/or business owners of the medium enterprises through a researcher-administered questionnaire, which were analyzed using median and spearman’s rank correlation. Findings revealed that majority of medium enterprises used Facebook in conducting online recruitment and the extent of usage of social media platforms had a significant relationship with the level of perceived effects of social media used in online recruitment which was cost, time, and quality.
