Publication Animal booster as feed supplement for broiler ration(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2015-03) Aleta, Charlene C.The use of antibiotics and growth promotants by poultry raisers form part of the management being practiced widely. With this practice, antibiotic residues in the meat and eggs cannot be avoided which is detrimental to human health. The consuming public are now concerned on healthy foods, hence, raisers are looking into possible alternatives for antibiotics and growth promotants. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Animal Booster as supplement for broiler ration. It was conducted in Casiaman Bacnotan, La Union from November 12, 2014 to December 17, 2014.using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Sixty day-old broiler chicks were used in the study. Results of the study revealed that the addition of animal booster as supplement for broiler ration from 3 grams to 7 grams did not significantly influence the performance of birds in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, cost of feed to produce a kilogram gain and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost of birds.
