The BA English language students' perceptions towards watching English vlogs on listening and speaking skills development

Listening and speaking are important skills to be enhanced, developed, and improved for effective learning as well as communication. Hence, this study was conducted to find out the BA English language students’ perceptions towards watching English vlogs on listening and speaking skills development. A qualitative approach was utilized. Thematic analysis was used in analyzing the data gathered through focus group discussion. Specifically, it answered the following questions: (1) What are the perceptions of the students towards watching English vlogs in developing their listening skills?; (2) What are the perceptions of the students towards watching English vlogs in developing their speaking skills?; and (3) How do English vlogs develop and improve students' listening and speaking skills? The answers were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed. The findings indicated that watching English vlogs is an effective way to develop listening and speaking skills.
