However, the rising cost of commercial feeds challenges profitability. This study explored the use of molasses-a by-product of sugar refining known for its high carbohydrate content and nutritional value as a supplement in broiler drinking water to determine the growth performance and carcass quality of broiler chicken. This was conducted at Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union. Sixty broilers were randomly assigned to four treatments: T0 (Control), T1(40 ml molasses + 960 ml of water, T2(60 ml molasses + 940 ml of water), andT3(80 ml molasses + 920 ml of water), with three replications each. Results indicated that T2 (60 ml molasses + 940 ml of water) had significantly higher weight gain, carcass quality and better feed conversion, leading to improved profitability. These findings highlight the potential of using molasses, particularly at 60 ml of molasses per liter of water, as an economical and effective strategy to enhance broiler growth performance and carcass quality.enPerformance and carcass quality of Broiler chicken as affected by molasses in drinking waterThesis
