(2011) Correlates of effective performance of the dance instructors of San Fernando City La Union [Unpublished undergraduate thesis] DMMMSU-OUS.https://lakasa.dmmmsu.edu.ph/handle/123456789/322Full TextThe profile of the dance instructors (D.I) of San Fernando City, the level and relationship were determined by this study through a descriptive normative survey in two sets of questionnaire for the dance instructors and their client. Validation was also done through interviews of concerned dance instructors. Sample respondents were twenty (20) ballroom dance instructors and five of their customers, making a total of 100 clients. These were selected by random sampling. Most (65%) of the dance instructors were less than 20 years old and majority (85%>) were females and single. Most of them were college students with less than five years experience. They worked as part timers, 45 percent of whom received an income of Php 500- 1000 per session. Satisfaction level and self-fulfillment of the dance instructors was very satisfactory with a weighted mean of 4.31 and 4.77 respectively. This showed that the dance instructors were happy and satisfied with their work. This had a consequent effect on the level of performance with a mean of 4.6 which is very satisfactory. A high correlation existed between professionalism and job satisfaction; however an insignificant relationship between the quality of service and level of satisfaction of the dance instructors was noted. Based on the results findings of the study, it is recommended that trainings for the older group could be conducted and DOUS could offer a continuing education program for dance instructors in a project called manage your own business (myob); standardized the wages of the DI through the Tripartite Regional Wage Board ; and market or advertise the services of dance instructors through the internet flyers, and forming an association etc.en-USSOCIAL SCIENCESCorrelates of effective performance of the dance instructors of San Fernando City La UnionThesis
