Lakasa ti Sirib, DMMMSU Institutional Repository.https://lakasa.dmmmsu.edu.ph/handle/123456789/2691Abstract OnlyThe study determined the level of school achievement of public and private schools in Agoo, La Union 2014-2015; profile of teachers, school and parents; achievement level on NAT; sports and culture; academic competitions and Alternative Learning System; and tested the difference between the schools’ achievement. Descriptive method was employed using questionnaires as instrument in gathering data from administrators, teachers and parents-respondents. It was found out that administrators are young in their position, and NOESH passers. On the other hand, the teachers are young in experience; have MA units; attended school seminars; have salary grade of 12; and used varied strategies in teaching. The physical plant and facilities for public schools are inadequate compared to the private schools which have adequate facilities. School services were rendered to a great extent in public schools and very great extent in private schools. The parent respondents are mostly high school graduates, farmers, have an income of P 5,000 below, and are highly involved in their children’s performance. Both schools have average National Achievement Test and moderate achievement on sports and culture; academic competitions and ALS for public schools but very high achievement for private. However, no significant difference was found in NAT but significant difference exists in other areas.enThesis
