Such internship programs are available locally and internationally; these helps participants build up their professional competencies. Government Internship Program was established to provide young people, particularly recent graduates and/or students, opportunities and engage them to serve public agencies/entities projects and programs at the national and local level. This study evaluated the effectiveness of Government Internship Programs in San Fernando City, La Union. Using a descriptive quantitative research design, data were obtained from 168 respondents, taken from the GIP participants of City of San Fernando, La Union. Frequency, percentage, and median with Cramer's V and Spearman’s Rho were utilized as statistical tools to interpret and analyze the gathered data.
