Specifically, it aims to determine the demographic profile of the respondents; the fishing methods and practices employed by the fisher folks; coastal resources harvested/product/caught; the extent of awareness on the practices employed by the fisher folks; the significant differences on the extent of awareness; and the problems met by the fisherfolks. Most of the respondents are male and married, high school graduate and have been in fishing for more than 10 years. The fishing methods and practices employed by the respondents were the use of legal fishnets, pan fishing and suad fishing. The respondents showed very high awareness on different methods and practices of fishing. The coastal resources usually catched by them are fishes, mollusks, and seaweeds. The level of awareness of fisherfolks on the methods and management of the coastal resources was rated very much aware.
