Lakasa ti Sirib, DMMMSU Institutional Repository.https://lakasa.dmmmsu.edu.ph/handle/123456789/1077The presence of antibiotics residues that may have deleterious effects to human consumers is still the face of current debate about the excessive use of antibiotics as growth promoter. Due to these issues the poultry raisers prompted the alternative use of probiotics as growth promoters like the organic animal booster. The study was conducted to determine the best level of animal booster (0.5, 1, 1.5 grams per liter of water) as supplement in the drinking water for broilers from December 7, 2014 to January 12, 2015 at Barangay Salincob, Bacnotan, La Union. A total of 60 day- old chicks were randomly distributed into four treatments, following the Completely Randomized design (CRD) with three replicates and five birds per replicate. The results showed that the birds supplemented with .5 grams animal booster, 1 gram animal booster and 1.5 grams animal booster per Liter of water performed comparably with the birds given with pure drinking water with electrolytes in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, cost of feed to produce kilogram gain in weight, profit above feed, medicine and stock cost.en-USAnimal booster as supplement in the drinking water for broilersThesis
