This study described the effectiveness of SPES in empowering students from the City of San Fernando, La Union. Data were gathered using a valid and highly reliable survey questionnaire from 178 SPES beneficiaries during the year 2024 and administered through an online method using a Google Form. Data processing was made using Microsoft Excel and Jamovi for frequency counts, percentages, Spearman Rho's, Cramer’s V, and Point-Biserial tests. The study revealed that most of the beneficiaries of SPES were students in their late teens to early twenties. Most of them are females, and are college students, and a greater number of respondents were employed in public offices compared to those placed in private establishments. The findings also revealed that SPES is an effective initiative in empowering students’ academic performance and skill development. Further, the study found that some variables had a strong relationship with each other and others did not, indicating that other variables can also influence these.enEmploymentStudent -- EmployabilityEmpowering students:Effectiveness of Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) in the City of San Fernando, La UnionThesis
