The data was drawn from the 106 farmer-respondents who were selected using purposive random sampling. The descriptive statistical tools such as frequency, ranking, percentage and averages or mean were used in the analysis. Most of the respondents were male, married, had 5-6 dependents, with formal education, had average age of 37.68 years, had P 36,000 annual income, 20.31 years farming experience, rice tenants, had 0.50 farm area and sold their products within the community. Most farmers in Tagudin were moderately aware about globalization, the membership of the Philippines to world Trade Organization, and the stiff competition faced by Philippine products with products from other neighboring countries. They believed that globalization can increase sales and profits and opens are possibilities for them to export in foreign market. They observed that imported products were more affordable and had better quality. Majority of the farmers did not attend seminars and training because they had no time to it. Among the different government institutions, the Department of Agriculture assisted them in the training programs. High level of disease occurrence, globally competitive products in the country and lack of technology which were regarded as serious were the top three problems encountered by farmers. Intensive information drive about globalization and it effects shall be conducted for the farmers to be fully aware about its positive, negative effects and the necessary preparation to gain competitiveness in the international market. Likewise, safety nets must be put in place like the development of farm to market road is made. Moreover, livelihood projects of farmers be supported to enhance their entrepreneurial activity in becoming competitive in the international market. Topic on pest and diseases is one of the important topics to be discussed in the training. A demonstration farm be established to showcase the different technologies such as pest and disease prevention. Besides, the community-based organization shall be strengthened so that it could serve as training ground, marketing arm of products and conduits for financial assistance.en-USPerception of Tagudin farmers on the effect of Globalization to Agricultural enterprisesThesis
