The project aimed to address common limitations in traditional clothes drying methods, such as dependency on favorable weather, lack of automation, and inefficient energy usage. The system utilized the ESP8266 microcontroller, along with sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, and moisture levels, and was integrated with the Blynk mobile application for remote control. Users were able to start or stop the drying process and set the drying time through their smartphones, providing greater convenience and flexibility. Testing was conducted to evaluate the dryer’s performance in terms of drying temperature, drying time, capacity, and moisture content. Results indicated that the prototype efficiently dried clothes while reducing manual effort and promoting energy-saving practices. The findings highlight the potential of integrating IoT technologies into household appliances to enhance functionality, improve efficiency, and elevate the user experience.enIoT-based clothes dryerThesis
