Design, fabrication, and performance evaluation of Sea salt dryer. [Unpublished thesis, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union]. Lakasa ti Sirib, DMMMSU Institutional Repository.https://lakasa.dmmmsu.edu.ph/handle/123456789/2874Sodium chloride, known as salt, is widely utilized in manufacturing, agriculture, and water-conditioning industries. This study aimed to design, fabricate, and evaluate the performance of the Sea Salt Dryer. Specifically, it aims to: design the machine based on local practices; fabricate the machine made of locally available materials; test and evaluate the performance of the Sea Salt Dryer in terms of drying capacity, and moisture content; and calculate the simple cost analysis of using the machine. Result for drying capacity, mean result for T1 to T3 mainly 6000, 6470.337 and 6036.33 g/7 days. For drying time, no error was computed because each replication of treatments was the same which was 7 days. For moisture content, with mean 6.00%, 9.05% and 5.87% for T1 to T3 respectively.
