Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - South La Union Campus, Agoo, La Union.https://lakasa.dmmmsu.edu.ph/handle/123456789/222This study looked into the relationship between the perceived language proficiency and perceived influence on English Language Acquisition of Filipino Children using a validated and reliability tested survey questionnaire. The data was gathered among parents of Grade 1pupils. Overall, the data suggest that parents have a relatively high level of perceived English proficiency and that parents generally agree that they have an influence in facilitating their children's English language acquisition. Using Kendall's tau b (tb), it was found out that there was a weak positive correlation between said variables, which was not statistically significant (tb = .254, p = .223).en-USThe relationship between percieved language proficiency and pereived influence on english language acquisition of filipino childrenThesis
