Lakasa ti Sirib, DMMMSU Intitutional Repository.https://lakasa.dmmmsu.edu.ph/handle/123456789/1048Due to high cost of feeds, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broiler fed with pure broiler starter mash against those fed with LABS fermented ration (15% ground corn, 15% Ipil-ipil, 10% ground corn + 5% Ipil-ipil, 7.5% ground corn + 7.5% Ipil-ipil and 5% ground corn + 10% Ipil-ipil) as feed extender for broilers. This was conducted at Barangay Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union from November 13 to December 17, 2013. A total of 90 heads 14-day-old broiler chicks were distributed randomly in six treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Results revealed that the final weight and gain in weight of birds fed with 15% ground corn and 10% ground corn + 5% ipil-ipil performed comparably with the birds in the control ration. However the birds fed with 10% ground corn + 5% ipil-ipil (T3), 15% corn (T1) and 5% ground corn + 10% ipil-ipil (T5) performed comparably to the control ration in terms of feed conversion ratio and mean profit above feed, medicine and stock cost.en-USLabs fermented ground Corn and Ipil-ipil leaf meal as feed extender for broilersThesis
