To improve on traditional screw-type briquette machines, which often require manual cutting, the researchers designed and fabricated a Portable Charcoal Briquette Machine with an Automated-Controlled Cutter and the addition of a mixer for uniform blending. The machine was tested and evaluated for its production capacity, cutting precision, quality of charcoal briquettes, and return on investment. The results showed that the machine was able to produce 166.14 kg per hour of charcoal briquettes, with the standard deviation of 0.151 cm and 0.163 cm for short and long cuts, respectively, indicating consistency. Furthermore, the briquettes met the International Coconut Community (ICC) quality standards and proved to be economically viable. This study complements the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) initiatives in promoting charcoal briquetting technology, highlighting its potential for sustainable energy solutions.enPortable charcoal briquette machine with automated-controlled cutterThesis
